5) It’s Melvin, Not ‘Bossman’

Until last season, Upton was known as B.J., which stood for “Bossman Junior.” The first name B.J. was a nickname given to him growing up, but he decided to switch to his given name, Melvin, which is also his father’s name.

Perhaps on his memorable nights with the Blue Jays he can make an exception and bring back the old B.J. nickname, except instead of it standing for ‘Bossman Junior’, it will stand for ‘Blue Jays’ Upton.
