4. Delon Wright Isn’t Ready… Yet

It’s a shame Delon Wright hasn’t taken the next step, yet because the potential for him to be a serious difference maker in games is there. Averaging 8.6 points 4.8 rebounds and 4.2 assists throughout the five games, he was making a serious impact with his passing.

Wright is one of those players who is better when he has good players around him. His assists per game don’t tell the entire story – he’s constantly moving the ball, and is a player who makes the pass that leads to the pass that makes an assist.

The 2015 20th overall draft pick is also adept at making passes while hanging in the air during a drive and kick, generating a lot of clean looks for his teammates.  His three-point shooting completely abandoned him as he only shot 16 percent on 12 attempts, but since he was was able to keep his entire team involved, it proved to be a non-problem.

With the size of a two-guard but with the skills of a point guard, Wright should be able to make his way as a defensive backup point guard in the NBA. However, it will be beneficial if he can improve his three-point shooting.
