Buffalo Bills Mock Draft 2016: 5 Best Options for the First Round
By Paul Taylor
Name: Taylor Decker
Position: Offensive tackle
College: Ohio State Buckeyes
Career highlights: 2014 Big Ten Champion, 2015 Consensus All-American, 2015 CFP National Champion, 2015 Suger Bowl Champion, 2015 Big Ten Offensive Lineman of the Year, 2016 Fiesta Bowl Champion
Pros: Taylor Decker is another top offensive lineman prospect in this year’s draft. He has superior run blocking abilities. He has excellent length and durability, after playing in every game during the last three seasons. Has shown he is capable of playing on the big stage, helping the Buckeyes win the National Championship after the 2014 season.
Cons: Not as dominant as Conklin. Too much inconsistency in his pass blocking. Biggest weakness is he needs to play with good bend and pad level consistently, or edge rushers will have their way.
Overall: If the Bills decide an offensive lineman is their number one priority, his versatility will help. Can play left tackle, but would be more useful on the right, especially if Seantreal Henderson is unable to return this season.
