As the Buffalo Bills prepare for the 2016 NFL draft in Chicago, we break down the five most likely candidates for them to select with the 19th pick in the first round.

One of the highlights of the NFL offseason is nearly upon us, as the Buffalo Bills prepare for the 2016 draft. For the second year in a row, Roger Goodell will be announcing the selections from the Auditorium Theatre in Chicago.

As Bills fans are painfully aware, their beloved team is in a 16-year playoff drought, the longest current streak in the NFL. As such, this draft represents an important step in Rex Ryan’s attempts to turn around the fortunes of the beleaguered franchise.

As we know from history, it’s always possible to discover hidden gems in the later rounds of the draft. Look no further than the likes of Andre Reed, Darryl Talley or Howard Ballard as prime examples.

However, the first round still represents the best chance of finding that superstar who can help take you to the next level. Fans can point to players such as Jim Kelly, O.J. Simpson, Joe DeLamielleure and Bruce Smith, who all left an indelible mark on the franchise.

This year, the Bills will be picking 19th overall. We analyze the five candidates with the best chance of being drafted by the Buffalo front office.
