3) Can Devon Travis continue last year’s form when he returns?

Any little edge the Blue Jays can get to improve their chances of success, they’ll take it. As mentioned, this includes having Tulowitzki and Stroman for the whole year.

Unfortunately, one player John Gibbons won’t have the benefit of for the entire season, is Devon Travis. The 25-year old was enjoying a fantastic rookie campaign, before having his year ended by a shoulder injury.

Fortunately, Travis is on the mend, with the Blue Jays expecting him to return sometime around mid-May. With four months remaining in the regular season, there will be plenty of time for him to have an influence.

There’s no guarantees the 2015 sixth-best second base prospect in baseball will carry on where he left off last season. However, when you consider how he made an immediate impact in the Majors – literally, after hitting a home run in his debut – it stands to reason Travis should provide a boost to the team.
