With the 2016 season finally here, we look at five storylines which will go a long way towards determining how successful the Toronto Blue Jays are.

The moment Toronto Blue Jays fans have been eagerly waiting for is finally here – the start of the 2016 season. After the way last year ended, a lot of people are of the opinion there’s some unfinished business to take care of.

Certainly, the 2015 campaign has a certain element of “if only” about it. One of two breaks here or there, and the Blue Jays could have quite easily won their first World Series since 1993.

In any event, what’s done is done. Fortunately for the team, they retain most of the roster which took them to the AL Championship Series, with the added bonus of full seasons (hopefully) from the likes of Troy Tulowitzki and Marcus Stroman.

Of course, no matter how good the team looks on paper, it’s about actually producing on the field. Here are five storylines which should have a major impact on how successful the Blue Jays are this season.
