3) Sebastian Giovinco

Where do you start with what Sebastian Giovinco means to Toronto FC? Pure and simple, his decision to come to Southern Ontario turned around the fortunes of the franchise.

Almost single-handedly, the Italian took TFC to the playoffs for the first time in their history. He did it all in 2015, including winning the MLS MVP award and the Golden Boot.

On top of this, Giovinco broke the league record for most combined goals and assists in a season. The question is, what does he now do for an encore?

In theory, the 29-year old won’t have to carry the load again, with an improved team around him. However, fans will be happy to hear his goals for this season include winning a second MVP award, along with TFC’s first ever MLS Cup.
