1) Another season-opening long road trip

Last year, Toronto FC started the campaign with a seven-game road trip. This season, they face eight games, while another round of renovations are completed at BMO Field.

In that respect, we may well have an idea of what to expect from the Reds this season, by the time they play their home-opener against FC Dallas. Along those lines, if last year is any indication, there may be no need to worry.

TFC went 3-4-0 on the road, while matching the 11 goals they conceded. Furthermore, they have a better roster this year, meaning they are more than capable of surviving the beginning of the 2016 campaign.

While a long road-trip is not an ideal way to start your season, it could prove to be to Toronto FC’s advantage, if they can return home relatively unscathed. Certainly, no one else will be in a better position, with 17 of their remaining 26 league games being played at BMO Field.
