Projecting the lineup for next season:

In the middle of what was actually a relatively fast-paced and entertaining game between the Maple Leafs and Lightning, TSN play-by-play man Ray Ferraro brought up a pretty interesting point. One that put the idea in my head to look at where this team could potentially be next year, and in my opinion, it actually isn’t a very bad lineup.

Ray was thinking out loud about what the Leafs might look like had they been fully healthy and all of their top young players were available, and that made me wonder potentially what the lineup would look like, while leaving open a couple of holes. This is what I came up with…

Looking at the possibilities for this lineup got me thinking. If the Leafs spend some money on free agents, get lucky with a couple of players/ lottery balls, you could actually be looking at the resemblance of a pretty fun team to watch.
