Kasperi Kapanen:

– Flashed top end speed as well as small area quickness.

– Was very slippery and shifty throughout the game, with him pulling some déjà vu of his golden goal from the World Juniors in the second period last night.

– Showed impressive hands, deking out by my count five Lightning players, something I didn’t think was his best attribute.

– Showed quite a good deal of poise for a 19-year old making his debut.

– Was relentless on the puck, and was often seen hounding Lightning players when he didn’t have the puck.

– Wasn’t afraid to go into the dirty areas to win puck battles.

– Is a big time shooter, he really likes to shoot the puck.

– Would have liked for him to finish some of his high quality scoring chances.
