The 2016 World Junior Championships was of great interest to the Toronto Maple Leafs, offering a glimpse into the future as their top five prospects all participated.

The World Junior Hockey Championship is always a premier event on the hockey calendar every year, for Toronto Maple Leafs fans (and NHL fans in general). Offering a peak into the future, the tournament pits hockey’s top young prospects against each other on a massive stage.

Every year the event gets bigger, with the parity being greater than ever before. This year’s tournament in Finland was no different.
