Jose Bautista

He has waited a long time for postseason baseball in Toronto and when his team needed him Bautista was able to deliver the clutch hit in Game 5. He hit the Blue Jays first postseason home run since 1993 which got the Blue Jays within a run in Game 1. However it was his three run home run in Game 5 that helped the Blue Jays soar to the ALCS.

He has been the Blue Jays best hitter in recent memory and between him, Donaldson and Edwin Encarnacion, the Blue Jays should be comfortable that one of them will get the crucial hit they need. For years when the Blue Jays struggled there were debates about whether the team should trade Bautista for young prospects and think about the future. However, the team stuck to their guns and luckily for the Blue Jays it has worked out for the best and they will look for the same against Kansas City.
