As explosive and athletic as they come, the 6’ 1” sophomore point guard is currently playing out of Florida’s Montverde Academy and has made quite the name for himself all over North America.
After his freshman season with St Michael’s College here in Toronto, Carr continued his dominance in the AAU Circuit with the Northern Kings. It was during a stop at the NY2LA Sports Summer Jam, where he made his biggest impact, crowned as the top PG in the tournament by SLAM Online while gaining interest and a verbal commit to Baylor for his college career.
So to sum things up, Baylor offered Carr to verbally commit, before he ever played a single game not representing a Toronto club or school.
Obviously a lot can happen in three years, but the fact that Carr is making the kind of headway that he is, at such a young age, speaks to the extremely high upside he is currently showing.
Expect his maturation, skill, and height, to increase in the coming months in his first year in Florida.
