After the previous season’s seven-game battle in the playoffs, the Nets are currently the Raptors unofficial number one rival in the Atlantic Division. As such, even though Brooklyn was struggling at the time, this game still meant a great deal to Toronto.
There were several impressive individual efforts for the Raptors during this overtime win, including DeMar DeRozan and Amir Johnson. However, Williams used this game to prove he had more to him than just outside shooting, showcasing his ability to get to the free throw line consistently.
In total, the 2005 Naismith Prep Player of the Year made 10 of 11 shots from the charity stripe. Check out his highlights, including a nice shot while in the process of being fouled.
