BioSteel All-Canadian All Star Game Announces Future Roster
Before the BioSteel All-Canadian All Star Game tips off on Tuesday at Toronto’s Mattamy Athletic Centre, the top Grade 9 and 10 players will take to the court in the BioSteel Future All-Canadians Game on Monday night at the Athlete Institute in Orangeville.
Grade 9 guard Joel Brown (St. Edmund Campion), Grade 10 guard Jaelin Llewellyn (Father Goetz) and Grade 9 guard Rowan Barrett Jr. (St. Marcellinus) highlight what is a very talented roster. After making the cut for the Canadian Men’s Cadet National Team last weekend, Llewellyn and Barrett Jr. can add this BioSteel Future All-Canadians Game appearance to their increasingly impressive resumes.

Meanwhile, St. Edmund Campion guard Joel “the General” Brown, is certainly one to keep an eye on going forward. Only in Grade 9, Brown led the Campion Bears to a ROPSSAA Championship and an OFSAA Finals appearance. On top of his on court success, Brown was also featured in one of Sport Chek’s My North videos. At 14 years of age, Brown has a very bright future ahead of him. His impressive skill set is highlighted by an excellent set of intangibles that showcase his composure, work ethic and maturity.
Before the Future All-Canadians Game tips off, there will be two skills competition events, including the Sport Chek 3 Point Shootout, and the BMO Slam Dunk Competition.
Following the skills competition, Charles Hantoumakos, Senior Prep basketball coach at Bill Crothers Secondary School, and Koven Padayachee, basketball coach at Orangeville District Secondary School, will coach the two Future teams.
