A) The Toronto Marlies won the North Division at the conclusion of the 2013-14 regular season. This represented their fourth divisional championship since relocating to Toronto for the 2005-06 campaign.

B) The 45 wins for the 2013-14 campaign were the second most in a season for the Marlies in Toronto. Over the same period, the 96 points were the joint second-most ever recorded.

C) The Marlies player of the year is arguably T.J. Brennan. His 2013-14 season was impressive, especially when you consider that he is a defenceman. Brennan finished with 72 points (25 goals and 47 assists) in 76 games, and was unsurprisingly named as a 2014 AHL All-Star.

D) The other major standout was Spencer Abbott. The winger ended last season with 69 points (17 goals and 52 assists) in 64 games. He hasn’t been quite as productive so far this season – reflecting the team’s overall struggles – but still has 15 points (six goals and nine assists) in 28 games.

E) The Marlies record for the calendar year currently stands at 40-30-7, with one game remaining.
