A) The Toronto Argonauts were in contention for the playoffs right through to the final week of the season. Ultimately though, they came up short by one game, finishing the 2014 campaign with a 8-10 record.

B) The Argonauts finished the season with 450 points scored, most in the East Division and third in the CFL. Toronto also had the same rankings for offensive yardage, averaging 371.4 per game.

C) The Argos had three CFL All-Stars in 2014; Ricky Ray, Chad Owens and Swayze Waters. In terms of the Eastern All-Stars, Ray, Owens and Waters were joined by Chris Van Zeyl and Tyler Holmes from the offensive line.

D) Argonauts quarterback Ray was named the East Division’s Most Outstanding Player for the second straight year, just missing out on the overall award. He certainly had a fine campaign, leading the CFL in passing yards (4,595) and finishing second in quarterback rating (95.1).

E) The defence was definitely the weak link in 2014, but one player who deserves some recognition is lineman Tritan Okpalaugo. He led the Argonauts with 12 sacks, finished tied for the team lead in interceptions and added 38 tackles.
