A) Toronto FC grabbed their fair share of headlines in 2014. Certainly you can’t argue with their intent, highlighted by the signings of Jermain Defoe and Michael Bradley.

B) Despite an injury-ravaged campaign that limited him to 19 regular season appearances, Defoe still led Toronto FC with 11 goals. Along with Bradley, both players were selected for the 2014 All-Star game, although Defoe did not take part.

C) Toronto FC looked well on their way to finally breaking their playoff drought, firmly in contention for the majority of the season. Ultimately though, things started to unravel in mid-August.

D) Despite falling away in the last two months of the 2014 season, TFC still managed to set several single season records. They ended the campaign with a franchise-best 11 wins, 41 points and 44 goals.
