Though 2014 didn’t see any franchise-changing trades like the year prior, GM Masai Ujiri still earns a gold star for this one. He traded an old, slow, defensive ‘stopper’ who couldn’t really stop anyone (John Salmons) for a professional scorer off the bench (Lou Williams).
Sweet Lou has fit in seamlessly with the squad and ‘Bebe’ has become a ‘garbage time’ favorite. As for Salmons? Well, he’s currently averaging two points and a rebound per game for the New Orleans Pelicans. I guess it’s safe to say the Raptors got the better of the trade.
