Yes, I went there. It sucks, but I had to do it. You can’t talk about the Raptors’ 2014 calendar year without talking about Pierce blocking Kyle Lowry to end the series. Everyone knows what happened: Lowry handles the ball with the game on the line and splits a double team by Deron Williams and Kevin Garnett to put up a last ditch shot. Blocked. Series over. Nets move on while the Raptors go golfing.

Could the execution have been better? Of course. But with your season on the line, who else would you rather have to take the shot than the guy that carried the team throughout the year?
