Best known for hitting clutch three-pointers against Oklahoma State last year (see video below), Long enters his junior season as a sharpshooting guard that should continue to see steady minutes in head coach Fred Hoiberg‘s rotation.

Playing in 36 games last season, Long averaged 7.1 points per game and shot 40 percent from behind the arc. His 40 percent mark from three is particularly impressive when you consider that Long made a total of 64 three-pointers last season.

Long should continue to come off the bench for Iowa State this year and should easily rank as one of the top sixth men in the Big 12. As one of the program’s emotional leaders, the former CIA Bounce standout should provide a few sharpshooting highlights for fans north of the border.
