Ontario, a basketball hot bed?
Now before you dismiss that notion, let’s take a look at the number of Canadian and Ontarian athletes playing Division one college basketball south of the border.
Last year, a record 104 Canadians were playing NCAA Division one basketball. Of those 104 players, a whopping 65 of them hailed from Ontario.
Not bad number’s for a hockey oriented province.
With big name prospects like Andrew Wiggins, Nik Stauskas, Tyler Ennis and Brady Heslip moving on to the NBA, a new batch of Ontarian’s will look to make their mark south of the border.
