Where to start with this one? It’s a moment every Raptors fan will never forget.

The end of Vinsanity in Toronto. The end of having the league’s most exciting and popular player on your roster. To be blunt, the end of an era.

Even today, many Raptors’ fans are still bitter about this trade. And who could blame them? The return for Carter was horrendous.

The seven-time all-star, former Slam Dunk Champion, and arguably the league’s most popular player fetched Toronto a return of two journey men (Eric Williams and Aaron Williams), a disgruntled centre who wanted nothing to do with Toronto (Alonzo Mourning), and two mid-to-late future first round picks.

Not exactly the ideal return for Vinsanity.

To make matters worse, the Raptors eventually paid out Alonzo Mourning because he did not want to play in Toronto. Imagine that, not showing up, getting paid, and then getting paid to leave. Excuse me if I sound a bit bitter still, but it was a complete albatross of a trade.
