In honour of the season premiere of Game of Thrones, we’re going to see which Toronto Maple Leafs players match the characters on the show.
It’s been a battle for Toronto Maple Leafs fans over the years. In the past, the organization would refuse to rebuild, but finish bottom of the league. After finally accepting a new philosophy, the Leafs’ future looks bright with a great cast of players to support.
Speaking of casts, Game of Thrones doesn’t have a bad one either. Fans of the show have seen their favourite characters perish and the main rise.
So why not combine the cast of Game of Thrones with the members of the Toronto Maple Leafs organization? The matches were based on the player’s role on the team, past history, and future accomplishments.
The following that Game of Thrones has is similar to the Leafs. Millions of people will be sitting around their TV’s Sunday night to watch the premiere on HBO. With the success Toronto had this past season, you can bet there will be similar numbers watching the season opener in October.
