It is time to drop the puck on another season for the Toronto Maple Leafs. It is an exciting season for many reasons, especially with a historic year for the franchise.

With the weather getting colder in Canada it can only mean one thing. Hockey season is here and even with the excitement surrounding the Toronto Blue Jays playoff run, there is a lot of anticipation as the Toronto Maple Leafs season begins.

There will be many storylines to follow both on and off the ice in the team’s Centennial season. There have been many changes made to the team after they finished in last place earning the top pick in the draft.

Most of the moves made were up front and between the pipes with the team hoping the talent added to the roster will make them more competitive this season.

Additions: Auston Matthews, Nikita Zaitsev, Matt Martin, Roman Polak, Jhonas Enroth, Frederik Andersen.

Departures: Jonathan Bernier, P.A. Parenteau, Michael Grabner, Brad Boyes, Mark Arcobello.
