Whether it means something or not, Buffalo Sabres fans will undoubtedly be intrigued by the fact the Pegula’s jet is returning to Boston.

It seems #VeseyWatch just took an interesting turn, especially if you’re a Buffalo Sabres fan. The Pegula’s private jet appears to be heading back to Massachusetts.

As per a tweet posted on the Buffalo Sabres reddit account, a link was enclosed to Terry Pegula’s plane schedule. His Learjet 45 was scheduled to leave Buffalo Niagara Intl on Wednesday at 11:25 am ET, arriving at Laurence G Hanscom Fld around 12:20 pm.

Understandably, a lot of people will be questioning the sanity of even bringing this up. However, the potential significance comes in the fact a return flight to Buffalo is scheduled just 50 minutes later, at 1:10 pm.

More from Buffalo Sabres

Regardless of how crazy it still sounds to be mentioning this (and to be fair, hypocritical on my part) it won’t stop the residents of Western New York getting excited about what it may represent. The initial inclination will likely be for Sabres fans to wonder if this means Jimmy Vesey is coming to Buffalo, to sign a contract?

In truth though – assuming the Pegula jet is even going to Boston to specifically pick Vesey up – this probably isn’t the case. It is more likely that the organization is going to give him a tour of the facilities and local area in Buffalo.

Further, the 23-year old has continually repeated it is his intention to declare free agency on August 15th, and explore all his options. Last week’s positive meeting, or his close relationship with Jack Eichel are unlikely to change this.

As a Sabres fans, do you believe any of this is somehow connected to Jimmy Vesey? Or do you genuinely not care either way, and would rather just wait until he actually signs for a team. Let us know in the comments section below.
