After having been challenged by numerous people, NHL commissioner Gary Bettman has finally come through and accepted the Ice Bucket Challenge.
(In retrospect, it’s a shame he never accepted the challenge of averting two hockey lockouts…)
You can see the video for yourself here.
Now, I’m sure most of you are like me in wishing you could have been the one to pour the bucket of cold water onto his head. After having to endure a couple of painful lockouts, I’m sure there are a few other things Toronto sports fans could come up with to do to him.
Until then, we can at least enjoy the image of Bettman above over and over again.
What are your thoughts on Bettman’s acceptance of the challenge? Is it enough to forgive him for two lockouts and a general neglect of hockey matters north of the border?
Would you have preferred him to pour something else over his head – something hot, sticky or permanent (or some combination of all three)?
Is Gary Bettman, a.k.a. Mr. Uncool, just trying to fit in with all the cool kids?
