Toronto Raptors’ forward, Patrick Patterson provided a huge spark off the bench for the team in game 3 against the Brooklyn Nets. Patterson scored 17 points on 6/7 FG shooting, 3/4 from 3PT, and added 5 rebounds for good measure. But his best efforts were not enough, as the Raptors fell down 2-1 in the first round series with a 102-98 loss to the Nets.
A lot of the attention drummed up on social media during the 4th quarter and post-game, was regarding the fact that Raptors fans felt the referees were once again against them–similar to how the fan base felt in game 1.
Patterson voiced his displeasure with the officials’ calls during crunch time in the game, saying that he felt the referees had been against the team all season long”
“Is that something new? As far as calls not going our way or us feeling a certain way about referees,” Patterson said. “That’s happened all year long, so for us to think that’s going to change in the playoffs, we’re fooling ourselves.”
“So we have to battle through, we have to fight through, we have to concentrate on ourselves rather than things that we can’t control as far as referees or even Brooklyn.”
