Toronto Raptors GM Masai Ujiri has been fined $25,000 by NBA commissioner Adam Silver for his use of the F word during Saturday afternoon outside the Air Canada Centre, at the Maple Leafs Square (Red Square) before a gathering of Raptors fans at the team’s first postseason game.

Masai Ujiri quickly apologized after the incident, in a media scrum during halftime of the Raptors 94-87 loss to the Brooklyn Nets.
Originally, it was reported that Adam Silver would not fine Masai Ujiri, but instead had given him a formal warning and the two parties talked through the situation. But the commissioner has since changed his stance.
