Blue Jays sign 3B/1B Juan Francisco to Minor League Contract

The Blue Jays have added some minor league depth signing 26 year old Dominican 3rd / 1st baseman, Juan Francisco to a minor league deal Tuesday evening.

Fan 590′s Mike Wilner tweets:

Juan Francisco spent portions of the last 5 seasons in the major leagues, playing a total of 298 games over that span with three different teams (Cincinnati Reds, Atlanta Braves, and Milwaukee Brewers). Most recently Francisco split the 2013 season between the Braves and Brewers, playing 124 games and hitting .227/.296/.422 with 18 home runs, 48 RBIs, striking out 138 times in 348 at-bats.
