Maple Leafs

The Leafs have some serious issues early in the season despite their success thus far, but what is the biggest one? [National Post]

Shots, goals, wins, losses. 15-games into the NHL season the Leafs have some problems, but the goaltending has been great, their shooting has been lights out, and the team defence not nearly as bad as many think. So there’s hope, right? [Toronto Star]

Mason Raymond had a tough summer. Unable to get an NHL contract he was forced to swallow his pride and attend Leafs training camp on a PTO. 15 games into his Leafs tenure, he’s already showing the NHL why they were wrong about him. [NHL.com]

Buffalo Bills

After early season struggles stopping the run, which were primarily due to the fast pace run by a mostly ineffective offense, the Bills D has come around and started to shut down the oppositions run game as was expected from this unit coming into the year. [BuffaloBills.com]

If you want to relive the horror of Jeff Tuel’s pick six to remind yourself of the aforementioned red zone struggles, Buffalo Rumblings breaks it down beautifully. [Buffalo Rumblings]

Raptors

LeBron James is very good at basketball, so you can’t blame the Raptors for being unable to contain him in last night’s 104-95 loss to the defending champion Miami Heat. [National Post]

Blue Jays

The Blue Jays have signed LHP Juan Perez to a minor league contract, he will be fighting for a spot in the suddenly crowded bullpen race for the Blue Jays. [Toronto Star]

Sports content is valued at a premium by media companies, you just have to look at the insane cable television. deals being handed out across baseball to see why the Blue Jays could be worth upwards of $1-billion to Rogers.  [Motley Fool]
