The Toronto Raptors welcome the two time defending NBA champion Miami Heat to the Air Canada Centre as they look to notch their third win of the season in just their fourth game after starting an abysmal 3-19 to begin last year.
The Miami Heat may be without the third member of the Big 3 as Chris Bosh did not travel to Toronto with his wife giving birth to a baby girl early this morning. Without Bosh, the Heat’s lack of size is even more evident, and will be something that the Raptors look to exploit with their dynamic duo of Amir Johnson and Jonas Valanciunas down low.
The Raptors face a Heat team that some have labelled “vulnerable” after a 2-2 start that has caused overreactions across the NBA. Combined with the absence of Bosh, it would seem that the Raptors are poised to steal one from LeBron and company.
Currently sitting at 2-1, the Raptors are looking to move 2 games above .500 for the first time since January 27, 2010. Coincidentally, January 27, 2010 also marks their last victory against the Miami Heat. The Raptors have lost all 11 meetings with the Heat since then.
