Maple Leafs

The Leafs lost to the Ottawa Senators last night in preseason action, which mercifully leaves just two pointless games left on the docket before real hockey starts! [National Post]

Clearly the Montreal Canadiens added George Parros because the Leafs tough guys enabled them to take 3/5 from the Habs last season. Makes total sense. [Toronto Star]

Phil Kessel was suspended for the rest of the preseason…I’m not sure when the NHL started rewarding players for their misdeeds on the ice but I know Kessel probably doesn’t mind missing these games. [Editor In Leaf]

Buffalo Bills

Although it’s from the perspective of the Jets *spits*, this GIF breakdown by Gang Green Nation of Sunday’s Jets-Bills game is exceptionally done and well worth a visit. [Gang Green Gang]

After yet another rash of injuries, the Bills are running a little low on players in their secondary. [Buffalo News]

Is Doug Marrone‘s up tempo offense a good fit for EJ Manuel right now, or do the Bills need to slow things down for the rookie QB? [BuffaLowDown]

Blue Jays

After a magical season in 2012 aided by one-run voodoo, it’s very appropriate that the Baltimore Orioles were eliminated from the playoff hunt by a one-run defeat in extra inningsto the Toronto Blue Jays last night. [TSN]

Alex Anthopolous has some work ahead of him this offseason, most notably his quest for starting pitching. [DJF]

The Toronto Blue Jays now own baseball’s second longest playoff drought, so there’s that. Ugh. [Jays Journal]

So Amir Johnson was at Yonge & Dundas yesterday and bought two stores worth of Drake albums to give away to people on the street, just because. [Bleacher Report]

Reports have the Raptors hosting the 2016 All-Star Weekend which is pretty awesome. As someone who lives a few blocks from the ACC I’m already looking forward to the people watching that I can do. [Raptors Republic]
