The NHL confirmed David Clarkson‘s suspension, he will officially miss 12% of the season. Great start to that contract Clarkson, way to use your head out there. [NHL.com]

Phil Kessel may face discipline himself as he has a hearing with the NHL today (Tuesday). I’m hoping for a purely symbolic rest of the preseason suspension. The fact that John Scott won’t face any discipline goes to show just how dumb this league can be. [CBC]
