The Buffalo Bills face off against the Carolina Panthers this afternoon at Ralph Wilson Stadium. Both teams are coming off of tough Week 1 losses to some of the elite of the NFL, and will not want to go down 0-2 to start the season.
The Bills are hoping that rookie QB EJ Manuel can build upon his first NFL start, where he was extremely solid, but unspectacular against the Patriots.
On the defensive side of the ball, the Bills can only hope to contain Panthers superstar QB Cam Newton who will be looking to get on track after struggling to get the ball in the end zone in Week 1.
The Bills are of course riddled with injuries, a trend that started in training camp and followed them right into Week 1. As per the Tweet below from the Buffalo Bills official account, the Bills will be with out Dustin Hopkins, Stephon Gilmore, Jairus Byrd, Ron Brooks, Marquise Goodwin, Dustin Hopkins, or Doug Legursky.

After a week that saw him have limited participation in practice each day, Bills fans were hopeful that franchise safety Jairus Byrd would be making his season debut. Unfortunately Byrd’s foot was not deemed game ready, and the depleted Bills secondary will not be getting the reinforcements that it so desperately needs.
