The Buffalo Bills have suffered yet another blow to their roster courtesy of the injury bug with cornerback Stephen Gilmore reportedly fracturing his hand. The injury is expected to keep the Bills top CB out of action for approximately 8-weeks.
Stephon Gilmore’s injury was described to me as a fractured hand. Out 8 weeks or so. Another hole to fill.

Gilmore was selected 10th overall by the Bills in the 2012 NFL Entry Draft and was immediately an impact player for Buffalo, tasked on most nights with covering the oppositions top receivers.
Losing Gilmore is a huge blow for the Bills defense, as he is clearly their best defensive back by leaps and bounds. With Gilmore on the sidelines the task of covering the oppositions top WR threat falls to Leodis McKelvin. While McKelvin is not nearly the player that Gilmore is, he should be able to make due in the interim.
With a best case scenario of a Week 6 return, the Bills have to hope that this injury doesn’t derail the season before it has even started.
